School Announcements
Red Ribbon Week October 27-October 30th
Red Ribbon Week is a nationally recognized celebrated week where activities to promote drug, alcohol, and tobacco prevention are promoted.  Announcements will begin during FLEX on Friday, October 24th.  We will be promoting four spirit days for the students and staff:
 
Monday, October 27 – “Follow Your Dreams” day (wear your favorite appropriate PJ’s)
Tuesday, October 28 – “I’m Too Bright for Drugs” day (wear neon)
Wednesday, October 29 – “You have the power to stay drug-free” (dress like your favorite superhero)
Thursday, October 30 – “Dress in Red – Head to Toe” day (wear all red clothing)
WKCE Testing for all 8th Graders – Tuesday, October 28, 2014
Please review the WKCE letter and the Student/Parent Pre-Test Information brochure from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for detailed information about the state-mandated Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examination (WKCE).  The brochure provides information about the purpose and format of the test, as well as, how to access sample questions.

Parent Teacher Conferences... Are you ready?
Parent teacher conferences will be here before you know it. Please read the parent conference letter and complete the conference request form which are linked below.  Conference Request form must be completed and returned in order to schedule your child's conferences.  North Middle School's Fall Parent/Teacher conferences  will be held on:

      Wednesday, November 5 from  2:00-7:00 p.m.

      Thursday, November 6 from  4:30-8:00  p.m.

      Friday, November 7 from  12:00-4:00 p.m.

Falls' Pride : PBIS - Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
This year North Middle School initiated PBIS, a school-wide program that fosters positive behaviors in our students. At North, we have adopted the “3 RE’s”:  Respect Everyone - Respect Education - Respect Our Environment.   These positive behaviors promote a safe and positive learning environment. Open House was a Success!
We had an amazing Open House at North.The Open House format allowed families to visit any or all of their child’s classrooms as there was no formal schedule for the evening.  Thanks for attending and making this such an awesome experience. Check out our photos on Facebook.
NEED HELP? We Have L.I.N.K.
What is LINK?  LINK is an afterschool, supervised study hall that is available to students who need extra time for homework.  It is generally held every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 2:45 – 4:15. Click here to get more details and schedule.

Website for Our Veterans!
7th and 8th Grade Computer Applications students created a website for our North Middle School Veterans Program on May 22nd in North's Auditorium. The websites include information on the wars the United States was involved in, SDMF Artifact Museum, SDMF Veterans programs through the years, and links to other websites on United States History. 
Our nation's history is full of brave men and women who had the spirit and integrity to stand up and fight for our freedom. The students at North Middle School never want to forget those sacrifices. Click here.
